A light for my life

Stop trying to please man!!

Are you sitting there worrying about how someone is going to respond to you?  STOP

There are always going to be people around who take pleasure in finding what is wrong, in creating chaos where there is none, in making your life miserable because THEY themselves are actually the miserable ones.

Who will you ultimately be answering to?   I can guarantee that when your book of life is opened, they won’t be the ones reading it.

YOU are a child of GOD!!    Take your worries, your struggles, concerns- TAKE IT ALL to the one who created you and knows every hair upon your head.   You may not know or completely understand how God can handle your situation, but that is none of your business!!   Let HIM handle your situations.  Your job is to TRUST and BELIEVE.

I pray that this word has helped someone today.  Keep being a light to shine upon the world.   You never know how many people are being touched by your example.

Psalm 119:105 (KJV)–   They word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Ch. 4- Mark 8:34-37

Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, if any of you wants to be my followers, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.   If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it.  But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it.  And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?  Is anything worth more than your soul?

It’s hard to move on with the plans God has for you if you are still hanging on to the corner of a former life.   Think about it… What do you need to let go of to fulfill your purpose?

Ch. 3- Proverbs 3:34

The Lord mocks the mockers but is gracious to the humble.  

Those that are quiet, or unobtrusive, are often mocked and criticized for not joining the crowd.   Don’t be afraid to keep to yourself, or to be quiet when under attack.   The Lord sees and hears what is being done to you, trust Him to be in control.

Sounds easy, doesn’t it?

What obstacles do you face when you try to give it all over to God?

God is big enough to create the world.

He’s definitely big enough to handle your life.

Believe.

Stay focused on the one and only, Father God- remain humble and true to His word. Don’t be persuaded and charmed by those who use His word for their own good.    Times will be hard, you will feel overwhelmed, find a quiet space and spend time telling your concerns to God.   Time to create a war room!

Breathe and Forgive

I have a hard time letting go of anger and hurt when I find out that others, who I trusted, have said or done things against me or my family.   I think it’s because I don’t bond with many people, so when something negative happens I feel it deeply.

The problem is, I’m only hurting myself by holding onto these negative feelings.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s okay to go through those feelings.  In fact, you need to process them to move on.   However, don’t dwell on them.   Focus on what’s important, focus on the people and circumstances that are positive influences.

No one said living life as a believer would be easy.   It may be one of the most difficult things ever.  But- think of who is watching you, think of who might be brought to Christ through your example.

Like my grandma used to say- Let Go and Let God.

Make a positive impact today.

Be a blessing.
